Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create a request?+
Go to Requests and select New Request. Fix your specification once — character, content, page count, budget goal, and deadline — and publish it. Other fans can then pledge Points toward your goal. You cannot change the specification after publishing, so make it as complete as possible up front.
How do I buy Points?+
Go to Buy Points and choose a bundle. Points are a prepaid balance used only to pledge toward Requests on CommissionHub; they are not redeemable for cash. Payment processing is not yet enabled while we complete our payment processor review.
How does a Creator accept and fulfill a request?+
Creators browse open Requests and can accept one once its funding goal is reached (or earlier, at their discretion). Once accepted, the Request becomes a binding commitment — the Creator delivers the finished artwork through the platform, at which point the Reward is released and the artwork becomes viewable to everyone who pledged.
Can I get a revision if I don't like the delivered artwork?+
No. CommissionHub has no revision or retake system. Once a Creator accepts a Request, how they interpret and execute the agreed specification is at their creative discretion. This is why we strongly recommend writing a complete, precise specification when you create a Request.
What happens to my Points if a request is declined or expires?+
If a Creator declines a Request, or no Creator accepts before the deadline, all pledged Points are returned to each backer's Points balance. Returns are always issued as Points — never as a cash refund.
Who owns the copyright to a commissioned piece?+
The Creator retains copyright. Backers and the requesting client receive a personal license to view and download the artwork, not a commercial license, unless the Creator separately agrees otherwise.
Is NSFW content available?+
CommissionHub is primarily an all-ages platform. NSFW content will be available only within a separately age-gated area once our age-verification system is implemented; see our Age Verification page for details.
